My two Walgreens trips have really been using up RR on things I need. I've bought chicken broth, canned Salmon and milk (I can't believe the milk at Walgreens even beat the Sam's club price this week + I can pay with RR). I did buy another razor (which was opened before I took the picture) and one Robitussin which both produced RR.

I was also a little bummed about the apple juice because I try not to buy apple juice from China so when I grabbed the bottles I made sure they didn't say "from China" but I had grabbed the wrong bottles and the very sweet cashier at self check took them back and got the right ones that were, of course, "from China."

Not the best of deals but it was all stuff that I needed and my catalina's were expiring today. The candy was a good deal. In fact I think I'll print some more coupons on my other computer and head back for a few more bags later.

I also used a $2 RR this week to buy milk. It actually worked out really well because I've had a ton of RR the last couple of weeks and the milk at Walgreens was $2.09 which was the same price as most of my grocery stores. Lot's of people are using the Bumble Bee tuna as a filler item this week--if you needed a filler suggestion. Use your extra to buy things you really need!

I hope to go back before the end of this week for more deodrant (all 3 of my stores were out on Wednesday) and some Almay.

I swear I had these exact same shoes in 11th grade, and I still LOVE them. Okay there's a great Bass shoe sale at 6pm.com. All Bass shoes, men's, women's and children's, $14.95 plus shipping. Check it out. I think I have to order these!!!

Nabisco Holiday Rebate

Another Kraft Rebate. You need to buy 10 qaulifying items (Nabisco Crackers, Planters Nuts, Easy Cheese). You don't have too much time to get this one done. You need to send in your original cash register receipts dated 10/1/09-11/30/09. Click here for all the information. Some people have reported seeing these rebates along with coupons in their stores. So look for this little booklet in your grocery stores.

Flour Coupon

This is the first time I've ever seen a coupon for flour. Flour is part of the buy $25 get $10 back at Albertsons this week. With this coupon you could get four for $ .70 which actually beats Sam's Club price! You can also use this coupon on whole wheat flour which tends to be more expensive.

Progresso Soup Coupon

Go here there's an ad in the box on the right hand side, just click the progresso ad and get $1 off Progresso High Fiber soup. If you don't see the Progresso ad just refresh the page until you see the ad. This should make for some super cheap or even free soup!

Free Shutterfly Photobook

If you're in the market for a photo book, here's another great deal from Shutterfly. Click here then log into your facebook account, at the bottom of the page click the free photobook. You'll get a unique code and instructions. You get a free 8x8 20 page photobook; you just have to pay shipping. It's a great deal and they do a really good job. You have until Nov. 14th to complete it.

The Unilever deal is my favorite deal at Walgreens this week. There are some RP coupons from 8/30/09 for Peanut Butter and Ragu, but I didn't get any of these. BUT I still got a good deal. I had a stack of RR from the Halls and Dentek that I had to use so I figured this would be a good way to use especially those $1 RR which are so hard to use. So here's what I did. I bought 8 jars of PB (I also heard that the Skippy Natural works for the deal even though it's not marked, just make sure you get it price checked) at 3 for $5 Total was $13.34 used $13 in RR (make sure you use 8 or fewer RR for 8 items) I paid .34 cents OOP (no tax on food here, yay) and got back $8RR. What will I do with all this PB? We don't use a ton of PB, but I bought it with a couple of things in mind. I just read a good little article in the Ensign about the types of foods you should have in your 72 hour kits and she recommended PB because it's so high in protein. It will give you energy and keep you full for a long time. She had some other good suggestions too. Anyway these jars may be a little big for 72hour kits but I figure at least the two adults could carry a jar. I also, needed more food to donate to our Youth Conference food drive.

**Update
As I'm couponing I try to always make sure I play by the rules. If I even suspect for a minute that a coupon I have is not for the product I want to buy--even if it will scan--I won't use the coupon. Anyway, I was giving some thought to the Band-Aid deal it occurred to me that although both coupons would scan and I could get free band-aids, both coupons are Walgreens coupons and are neither is a manufacturer coupon, therefore the store will not be reimbursed, basically they will lose on the band-aids. So, I will not be doing the band-aid deal this week.

Walgreens coupon booklets and 10/5 trip

I thought I'd post a picture of the latest Walgreens coupon booklets.
The little green one can be found in the front of the store by the weekly ads. It has Walgreens coupons which expire at the end of October. The white one in the middle is called the Fall Savings Book and it can be found usually in the pharmacy. You could check around the pharmacy and see if they're lying around or ask the pharmacist if you can have one. This booklet has Walgreens coupons that don't expire until the end of the year. The third one is the ABC of Savings book. Some people have reported these being by the weekly ads, my store did not have them out, but I asked the manager if he had seen them and he dug one out of the back storage room for me. This booklet has about 6 manufacturer coupons mostly for cold products.

**I have read in other places that there are peelie coupons in some stores on the Bengay for $5 off 2, if you have these it makes for a good deal on the Bengay which is 2/$10 and $5 RR. I also read that in the little coupon bags that they were giving w/flu shots that there are $2 Bengay coupons (mom, I think you got some of these so check it out. If you have these coupons you would pay $6/22 or $5/ 2 and get $5 RR.

Free Garnier Fructis

New freebie for Garnier Fructis at Walmart.com. These are great for your 72 hour kits or for your travel bags. I love freebies!

Target Juice Deal

If your family drinks juice, (mine goes through it like CRAZY) this is a pretty good juice deal at Target. Buy 5 Motts apple juice or apple sauce cups and get a $5 Target gift card. I don't shop at Target much because mine is so uncoupon friendly, but I believe that you can only get 1 gift card per transaction, but the best deal, if you want to buy more than 5 is to do separate transactions and roll your gift card. It comes out to .75cents per bottle which is a good deal. My Target was totally stocked!

Walgreens has a few good monthly RR deals. What that means is that the RR will print all month, now the catch is that some of them are not on sale all month. If your store happens to be one that has all the signage up, then they will have the signs that give the price/RR/ and end date. So, here are the monthly RR, but be sure to check the price in your store. For example the fusion razors are on sale and RR all month, but the Theraflu is not on sale all month but RR will print all month. If your store doesn't have the signs with a sale price, just ask them to price check.

Trident Gum

New .75cents/1 coupon for Trident gum. The new Trident Layers gum is on RR until Oct. 31 at Walgreens buy 2 $1ea and get $1 RR. Click here to print your coupon then go to Walgreens buy 2 packs of gum for $2 -.75 -.75 = .50 and get $1 RR. I have found these all over the place at my Walgreens stores but usually in a special display. In one store they were right by the register in another they were on the photo counter and in the third store they were with the other gum.

Kleenex deal (Vons)

*UPDATE--I'm pretty sure that today is the last day of this deal. And be sure to go to a register where the Catalina machine is on! I didn't get my coupons today and after it was all done the girl at customer service told me that the cat machine at that register has been broken for a while!! I almost always check, but today they were busy so I took a chance. Anyway, it's a bit of a bummer because of course they didn't know about the promo and I didn't have anything to tell them about it. Oh well, every once in awhile you take a little hit, but in the end I'm way ahead. I'll try the deal again tonight (the night checkers are my favorites anyway). Thankfully I have the print out that I got before the JJ started so I got my $10 just not my $5 off 7 coupon. The lesson here, before the catalina deals start they will print out a cat explaining the promo. make sure you keep these because sometimes this is the only defense you have if your cat does not print. The other alternative is that you can call the catalina company and I understand that they are pretty good about sending the coupons you should have recieved. Sorry that was a long update.


Kleenex deal at Vons(Safeway). Mom this post is for you. This is a great deal and it's super easy. Vons(Safeway) has kleenex 110ct. on sale for 99cents. Here's the deal you buy 3 kleenex for 99cents, most stores have a blinkie machine next to the kleenex for .50cents off 3 boxes, you use this coupon and then you get back a $3 oyno coupon when you check out. At my store I also got a $1 off 4 coupon when I checked out. So, I turned around and bought 4 boxes of kleenex, used my $1 off and my $3 off coupons and got 4 boxes of 3 kleenex and another $1off/4 and $3 oyno coupons. Time to stock up on Kleenex before cold season starts.

Now, here's my opinion on deals like this which also applies to Walgreens and CVS deaks. I usually don't do more than 2 transactions at a time. Why? Because as much as store managers like to move product through their store, they also do not like to have empty shelves. When you use manufacturer coupons the stores do get reimbursed the full value + a handling fee so they're not losing money, but they generally they do not take kindly to customers who clear their shelves. I hate it when I go to the store on the first or second day of a sale and there's nothing left, so I try to be courteous to other shoppers. If I want to do the deal a few times, I either go to another store (I'm lucky enough to have several stores within a few miles of my house) or a wait a day or two and then go back again. The most important thing is that you have good relationships with your stores!

New Coupons

New month means new coupons! Be sure to check all the coupons sites for their newest coupons.
The coupons that stand out to me are the canned soup and frozen veggie coupons. We're starting to see lots of sales on these items--so stock up when you see a good sale!! And remember if you're pretty sure you'll use the coupon, print it right away before it's gone, they do have a print limit and all of us have learned that the hard way. I used all the soup coupons last month because all my stores had good sales. The Progresso soups are even low sodium now which is nice because canned soup is usually loaded with sodium.

Lots of Hasbro Toy coupons here. Time for early Christmas shopping, I guess!
