When was the last time you ate a Sloppy Joe? I think the last time I ate a Sloppy Joe, before I found this recipe, was a long, long time ago. I always thought of them as little kid food, and I never really liked that canned sauce or powdered mix. So, when I saw this recipe on 30 minute meals, I thought it looked yummy, simple and quick-SOLD! And I have to say it was all three of those things. So, if you haven't had a Sloppy Joe for awhile or even if you have, I promise you're going to LOVE this recipe.

B1G1 Free Starburst Gummies (coupons.com) I got these on clearance a couple of weeks ago at Walgreens--good for keeping little ones happy while you shop!
$1/1 Hormel Pork Tendeloin(coupons.com) (meat coupons don't come along very often and we LOVE Pork Tenderloin)
Sorry for the lack of posts, it's been a crazy week so far. Here's my quick trip to Vons.
4 Scrubbing Bubbles $2.50ea
used $2/2 blinkie coupons in store
2 Clorox Cleaning Wipes $2.50ea
used (2) $1/1 Clorox Wipes here (facebook)
OOP $9 + tax
got $5 OYNO cat(buy $15 Participating products get $5), (2) $2 OYNO Cat (1 cat for every 2 Scrubbing bubbles Products)
A couple of notes, the blinkies that I used on the Scrubbing Bubbles are in front of the Scrubbing Bubbles Extend-a-Clean BUT the coupon reads "any Scrubbing Bubbles Product" and it didn't beep. If your store does not have blinkies some of my cans had $2/2 peelie coupons on them OR there is also a new Vons (Safeway etc.) Coupon book which in my store was right in front of the Cleaning products but can also be found in the beauty aisle. (mom, take this picture to your Safeway and ask if they have these coupon books--I don't know why your store hasn't had them.)
The Clorox Coupon did beep--don't know why, but the older, not so friendly male cashier pushed it through--I said nothing just stared at him with the "take care of it" look.
At my store there was also a display with the Fall scented new Glade products with $2/2 Peelies--they are also part of the buy 5 save $5 promo.
I believe the sale runs through Sept. 26th (sorry I forgot the exact date, I'll double check), but it was all tagged in my store (the $2 oyno Scrubbing Bubbles Cat was the only thing not tagged).

I spotted a couple of good canning coupons on Red Plum.
$1/1 Ball or Kerr Case of Canning Jars
$1/1 Ball or Kerr Canning Product (you can use these for those freezer containers or funnels, lids etc.)
You may want to grab these and stock up on your jars before they're gone for the year. My Walmart had the regular mouth jars on rollback, I can't remember the exact price but I think $6.99 for the Quart Jars and I found some wide mouth on sale at Smiths a couple weeks ago--can't remember the price on those either but it was around $7 too which was awesome (they only had two cases left). So, print your coupons and look for stores moving these out for the year! I may not be allowed back in my house if I bring home any more jars!
While you're on Red Plum you may want to print this coupon
$2/1 Playtex Sport Tampons
The 18 count boxes are on sale at Walgreens next week for $3.99. Use the $2 coupon paired with the $1 coupon in the September Wags booklet and get them for $ .99. (Thanks Wild for Wags!)

I'm about ready to give up, I've tried everything and that sucker just won't perk up. I don't know if it was bugs or disease or exactly what, but I'm very sad. But we did buy some great Zucchini from a local orchard and stocked the freezer for winter. I thought you might want to know the best way to freeze Zucchini so here's a little run down on freezing Zucchini:
The first thing you want to do is give them a rinse, get a pot of water boiling and get another pot with cold water and ice ready to shock the zucchini
Slice your Zucchini in 1/4-1/2 inch slices and drop into boiling water for 3 minutes. If you want to freeze Shredded Zucchini, steam it for 1-2 minutes.
Remove the Zucchini and place it directly into cold water (this will stop the cooking) for 3-5 minutes (just until it's cooled down)
Drain the Zucchini
at this point you can put it right into the freezer bags, but I prefer to place the slices on a parchment lined baking sheet(yes, I forgot the parchment on this batch!) and right into the freezer for about an hour and then into the freezer bags.
Remove as much air as you can from the bags (you don't need a foodsaver, just use a straw)
Label and Freeze
Another free sample from Vocalpoint.. Just login to your account and they will send you a sample of Kashi Go Lean Crisp. If you haven't joined Vocalpoint, you need to joint. I have received tons of samples and high value coupons.
