**Update I forgot to tell you that when you by the U by Kotex, you will get a competitor coupon. If you buy the regular liners, you will get a free up to $5 Always coupon, if you buy the tampons, you will get a $1.50 off playtex coupon. I'm not sure which coupons come with the other products.

Okay, here's a quick shot of what I got, but there's a few more of the same. I'll just give you the run down of the deals because I was having major math issues today--luckily the cashiers were very kind and patient!

The foil was my filler of choice today, better than candy because I always need foil. Another good filler is the Royal Gelatin.

**Update not a super deal on the charcoal, it would have been if I had taken the $1 off coupon from the Albertsons ad. There was a super deal at Lowes, but I was too late on that one. Oh well, there will be more charcoal deals for 4th of July!

I'm going to run back later and get some Kingsford charcoal because they are on sale yesterday and today for $3.99. Good time to use those buy Kingsford get free Glad coupons here. The same coupons were also in an insert, but I can't find which one right now, I think it was 5/16 SS.

The Neutrogena deal is a month long deal and the soap will go on sale later in the month, however, I'm not sure that they realized that this would be such a moneymaker, so they may pull the soap from the deal. This was actually tagged in one of my stores.

Here was the best deal of the day because these were totally FREE!!! I finally remember to ask at the Bakery if they had any extra buckets and they were more than happy to give me what they had. I also checked at Smith's but they had just thrown them out--ugh! These are food grade buckets. How do I know well in this case, it was obvious because they still had the tags on them and they haven't been cleaned--not complaining, but you can also tell if the little recycle number in the triangle is a 2--just learned that yesterday. One of these is missing a lid, but seriously there are so many uses for free buckets. I plan to use these for some pinto beans that I'm going to buy at Sams Club just remeber to put some oxygen absorbers in the buckets. Another good use would be to store all of those freebies from Walgreens expecially things like razors that can go in the garage!

Yummy Granola Bars

FINALLY! I have finally found the granola bar recipe that everyone LOVES, and it's super simple. This is about recipe #6 and we've liked all of them, they just haven't been exactly right for us. You can find our favorite recipe here The great thing about granola bars is that you can adjust to your taste, the key is to keep the ratio of wet to dry ingredients the same as the original recipe. I used Rice Krispies in place of the nuts and seeds for my kids and actually added in some extra oats. The possibilities are endless, you can add nuts, raisins, craisins, seeds, peanut butter, really almost anything you can think of. These were gone in a day and a half!

Vons Fruit Strips and new Coupon Book

These little 100% fruit snacks are on sale at Vons(Safeway) use the B1G1 coupons here (use zipcode 94553) and they are between $ .24 cents and $1. I think my kids actually liked the $.24 cent snacks the best. There is also a bag called "fruit bits," there's a $1.50 off coupon on those and they should be on sale for $2.50. The two Vons I went to did not carry the fruit bits. You can print 2 of each coupon per computer.

**Mom, go and buy these and you can give them to the kids when they come to visit!



Also, look for these coupon books at Vons(Safeway, Genuardi's, Tom Thumb, Dominicks, Carrs, Pavilions, Randalls) There are a couple of store coupons and the rest are manufacturer coupons which means you can use them any where. I found them by the milk and in the freezer section. Grab a couple, but don't be greedy!

CVS 5/24

A couple of good deals at CVS this week. The canned clams are on sale for $ .88 which is a great price. In fact I was going to buy some the other day and I couldn't find any for under $2/can. If your store is out, remember to get a raincheck, they never expire! I also bought the Gillette bodywash which is buy 1 for $4 get a $4 ECB. I bought 2 (which is the limit), used $4/2 coupon from the 5/2 P&G, OOP was $4 + tax and I got $8 in ECB. The great thing about CVS is you can buy the limit in one transaction and get all the ECB's, the bad thing about CVS is the limit is usually 1. You also don't need fillers to use your ECB's like you do at Walgreens.

This is a great high value salad dressing coupon. Save $2 on Girard's dressing. If you want it, print it quickly because it will be gone fast.

Okay, I've been reading about this deal on Ziploc Containers for the past few days but I wanted to do it before I posted about it. So, here's the deal at Vons (Safeway affiliates which are Vons, Pavilions, Tom Thumb, Randalls and Genuardis)

What a great deal!!! It appears that all sizes that are marked for the buy 4 at $1.99 work for the deal. In my store all the packages with 2, 3 and 4 containers were marked the only ones that were not marked were the packages with more than 4 containers. Also, you may find more $1.50/2 coupons inside the containers--YAY!!!

I'm not positive of the end date, but I believe it's not until June 18!!

Free Heinz Ketchup at Walmart IF you have Albertsons

If you have Albertsons, you can get free Heinz ketchup at Walmart this week. Remember I told you about the Heinz Ketchup being $1 at Walmart? Well, in the Albertsons ad this week there is a manufacturer's coupon for $1 off Heinz Ketchup, so FREE ketchup at Walmart. The coupon does have an Albertsons logo on it, but it is NOT a store coupon. On the top of the coupon it says manufacturer's coupon AND there is a remit to address on the coupon that addresses "Retailers" not just Albertsons. A store coupon will not have remit to information. Also, most Walmarts take competitors coupons so you shouldn't have any problem using the coupon. I used mine, they scanned fine and the cashier didn't even make a comment about it!

Target trip 5/19

I wanted to show you what I found on my quick trip to Target. I already told you about all of these deals, I just wanted to confirm that I did find all of these items for the prices I listed. I think every coupon I used beeped "item not found", but my awesome cashier just pushed them all through. The flip flops were marked $4.99 on clearance, but I price checked them and they were only $2.48, so free plus overage (that's why that one beeped!)

I checked on the Cottonelle TP and of course, they do not sell the 4pk at my store---ahh now we see why they put out such a high value coupon! They may have them at other Target stores, the one I shopped today is a smaller store. Let me know if you find the 4pks at your Target.

Great footwear coupon at Target.com

Hurry over to the Target Website, click on "coupons" at the bottom of the page, and then click on clothing and you'll see a coupon for $3 off Merona footwear. When I was at Target a few days ago they had some Merona flip flops on sale for around $4. Even at full price $3 off flip flops could make for some cheap shoes for summer. I'll let you know what I find tomorrow. I would definitely print this now because it may not last long!

Heinz Ketchup $1 at Walmart

40oz. Heinz Ketchup is $1/bottle right now at Walmart. This is a really good price--in fact I don't think I've ever paid less than that for a bottle this size or less than $.50 for the smaller bottles. I found it at my Walmart in the seasonal section. Great time to stock up on Ketchup. I'm sure the grocery stores will all have BBQ foods on sale in the next couple of weeks for Memorial day, but I don't think you'll get a lower price on ketchup.

So, the deal is actually better at Target.
