Old Navy Gift Card Deal

I was just loading coupons onto my Smiths Card and I found one of my favorites. $5 off $25 Old Navy gift card. If you like to give gift cards for Christmas or birthdays, this is a great deal for the obvious reason, but the reason I love this deal is because I buy them for future use. If you like to shop at Old Navy, you just got an instant 20% off, it's a gift card so there's no rush to use it, AND you can combine it with a coupon or discount because when you use it, obviously, it's just a regular gift card!! I bought some at Christmas when Vons had a similar deal, and I just used one the other day for Uniforms for my kids and I'll probably use the other one at Christmas. I'm not sure if you can buy more than 1 per transaction because it doesn't say on the coupon. I'll try and find out and let you know.

Just a couple of notes about the Kraft deal in conjunction with the mega event at Smith's this week. I'm sure you all are well aware of the Kraft catalina that is printing at Smiths, Vons, Albertsons, Walgreens etc. In a nutshell the deal is
buy (3-5) select Kraft products and get $2
buy (6-9) select Kraft products and get $5
buy (10+) select Kraft products and get $10

At Smith's there is a double dip on the Kraft Mayo (not Miracle Whip). If you didn't print the Kraft coupons when they were available or used them already, there were $1/2 blinkies for the cheese slices at my store.

Also, if you are need of butter the Challenge butter is on sale for $1.99 after mega which is a good price, but I also found $ .30 peelies on those. So a good price for excellent quality butter if you need any. (Missed this $.55/1 Challenge printable yesterday, so this makes the deal even better!)

Smith's and Target trips

If you printed the $5/5 Kellogg's coupons that were available earlier in the week, you may want to use them at Smith's. Smiths is having a 50% off cereal sale. I didn't get a chance to write down the prices of all the Kellogg's cereals which are part of the sale, but here are the prices I know:

Frosted Flakes, Apple Jacks, Froot Loops $1.92
Frosted Mini Wheats Little Bites Chocolate $1.86

Believe me I know these cereals are not healthy, but I let my kids eat them on the weekends! I know the regular Frosted Mini Wheats, Raisin Bran, and Touch of Fruit Mini Wheats are also included in the sale I just didn't have time to check the prices.

Look for boxes with $5 in coupons or Cars 2 codes which you can enter at the website listed on the box and get a $5 gift card for every 4 codes you enter.

I'm going back so I'll write down more prices when I don't have so much help!!


I also stopped at Target and picked up a couple of boxes of Finish Powerballs dishwasher detergent (I really need more of this after the sale a few weeks ago at CVS, we do LOTS of dishes!) they were on clearance for $1.98/box (20 pack) use the $ .75/1 any Finish Product from the 1/22 Smart Source. One store had the individual boxes and another had the 3 packs of  32/pack for $5.98, but you would only be able to use 1 coupon on the multi-pack the multi pack is a slightly better deal by a few cents, but when I saw those I didn't have my coupons and that store was not close to home. Anyway, pretty good deal if you need these.

Smith's $2 off $5 in Halloween Candy

This is a cool e-coupon. Save $2 with your purchase of $5 in Candy at Smiths (or any Kroger affiliate.) It does not specify Halloween candy--interesting. Have your shoppers card available because you will have to enter the number to load the coupon. It does say "limited supply," so if you want it, load it now.

Smiths has a "coupon of the day" to go along with the Cart Buster Promo. Just click here, and everyday you'll find a new coupon to load to your card. Today's coupon was $1.50 off Klondike bars. You'll also notice that on the Smith's website where you load coupons onto your shoppers card, the items that are part of the Cart Buster sale are marked as such.

Now is the time to stock up on soda. Grab a couple of these little coupon booklets at Albertsons because they have a $2/2 Coca Cola 12pack coupon the coupon does exclude Coke, Diet Coke and Coke Zero, so basically you can buy any other Soda made by Coca Cola. Here's what I did today.

I also bought blueberries which are on sale for $.99/6 oz. these freeze beautifully they're also on sale at Vons for $1/6 oz. Strawberries are on sale TODAY only at Vons for $2.99/3lb they weren't the best looking strawberries but the price was right. Also stock up on Corn on the Cob, best price is Vons 4/ $.88 these are also great for freezing just cut them off the cob and throw them in the freezer.

Smith's Daytona Sale

Here's my first Smith's shopping trip for the Daytona sale. This sale is buy 10 participating items and get $3 off AND a $3 OYNO Catalina Coupon. Here's what I've read so far from shoppers who have done this deal at Kroger affiliate stores. The register WILL print more than 1 $3 catalina if you do 20 or 30 participating items BUT you may only use one $3 OYNO catalina per transaction. So, I think it makes more sense to just break your order into transactions of 10 and keep rolling your $3. Here's what I did (all prices are after $3 taken off at checkout)

I was thrilled with this shopping trip. Everything was stocked and the cashier at Self-checkout was nice. I warned her in advance that I was going to do 3 transactions and I went to the register closest to her. I had a bad experience the other night (the first I've ever had at Smith's) with the coupon nazi at self-checkout. I believe her name is Joy (funny because she was MEAN!) and I will avoid her at all costs in the future. There are lots of good deals even without coupons. I'll be going back for bbq sauce and probably more cereal because we are so low. The brown and serve sausage is a great deal but we don't really eat breakfast sausage. Remember if you win at the Instant Win game those items are all part of the mega event so they'll count toward you're total of 10 which means you'll make a little money!

Smiths Instant Win Game

Flu Shots $10 at Smith's

I completely forgot to post this on Saturday so hopefully you can still get this deal. I went to Smiths to get a flu shot because I had seen them advertised for $19, but when I got there the pharmacist told me that they had just lowered the price to $10. I don't know if it's just this store (Durango and Elkhorn for those in my neck of the woods) or if it's all stores. So, if you need a flu shot and have a Smiths or maybe any Kroger affiliate give the pharmacy a call and find out how much their flu shots cost. It only took maybe 10 minutes, and the best time to get your flu shot is November or December because flu season hits hardest from Nov.-February. AND flu shots are usually only effective for about 4 months---well that's what I heard anyway--don't quote me because I read it online, but I'm covered!

Smiths trip 11/5

I'm super excited about the latest buy 10 save $5 mega event at Smiths. Some GREAT deals. I got all of this for $5.00. I won't give you all the details, just the coupons I used. I did use a $3 catalina coupon that I had as well as a $7 coupon oyno coupon that I got from Smiths in the gold envelope they send out quarterly.
